Analysis assistant, help center and status page
New7
- Analysis assistant: a first reading of the chart, the way a teacher would do it, the key, the modulations and, for each chord, its degree, function, marks and arrows. Review it before applying, on the whole song or just a selection, and undo it in one step (Shift+A).
- Harmonic field reference: the major key, the three minors, secondary dominants, related IIs, tritone substitutes, borrowed and diminished chords, with each degree's function and scale. Pick a degree straight from it.
- Statistics and a harmonic map for every analysis: how much is tonic, subdominant and dominant, chords inside and outside the key, recurring progressions, the keys the song goes through and an overall complexity level.
- Analysis review: points out degrees that don't match their chord, arrows that don't resolve as drawn, dominants that go somewhere else and a missing key.
- More for the analysis: the progression by section, the chart in another key (the degrees stay), each chord's notes and scale on a keyboard, actions on several chords at once, keyboard shortcuts, and export as an image, PDF, text or Markdown.
- Help center: ask the Setlyst team for help from the app and follow the conversation there. You're notified in the app and by e-mail when we reply, and you can rate how your request was handled.
- The status page now shows ongoing incidents and scheduled maintenance, with a timeline of updates and the last 30 days of history.
Improvements3
- Maintenance is announced where you are: a banner while changes are paused, a clear screen (also in Live Mode) while the app is closed, with the expected return time. Songs saved for offline use keep working.
- A more polished interface across the app, easier to use on phones and with assistive technologies: clearer empty screens, confirmations before deleting, and setlist blocks that show their song count and running time.
- Add several songs to a setlist at once: they go to the end, in the order you pick them.
Fixes2
- Setlists shared with you are saved for offline use too, and setlists that were deleted or that you lost access to are removed from your device.
- An account whose e-mail address needs confirming again (after a change by the team) is no longer removed as if it had never been verified.
Security2
- Sign-in activity: see the sign-ins, failed attempts and lockouts on your account over the last 90 days, with where they came from, in Settings › Security.
- The public link of a band setlist or gig is only shown to members who can manage it, and a gig's public page only shows a setlist that belongs to the gig's owner or band.
